Dhaka will be hosting the most prestigious two hour long event. The event will feature some of the spectacular performances, dances and laser shows at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

Music maestros of Bollywood as well as Hollywood like Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sonu Nigam and Bryan Adams, will be adding glitter to the event with their performances. Apart from the opening ceremony, Bangladesh will also be hosting the inaugural match of the season at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur.

Bangladesh for the first time hosted the World Cup in the year 1987. The final match of the Cricket World Cup 2011 will be held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, India. This year Eden Gardens in Kolkata was taken away the honor of hosting the India-England match due to poor maintenance.
