American singer and dancer Britney Spears and boyfriend Sam Asghari got married in an intimate ceremony held in Los Angeles on June 9, 2022. As per reports the wedding ceremony was attended by just 60 guests and included some of the close friends from the industry including Madonna, Paris Hilton and others.
Spears had earlier revealed that she will be wearing a wedding gown by Versace. More reports have revealed that Britney walked down the aisle as the song âCanât Help Falling in Loveâ by Elvis Presley played at the backdrop. Britney has two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston from her former partner Kevin Federline, but were missing from the ceremony. Sam and Britney got engaged in 2021 and had started dating after they met at the 2016 music video shoot for Slumber Party. It was in 2017 when the singer revealed that it took nearly five months for them to connect after the video was shot.
Britney was bound by conservatorship from which she was relieved in 2021. The singer shared that Sam had stood by her like a rock during her hardest years. The âHit Me Baby One More Timeâ singer had last month teased about her wedding while sharing an Instagram post, which showed her cat Wendy, who was seen sitting on white tulle fabric. In the caption Britney mentioned that it was her veil to her wedding dress which means that her wedding ceremony was just round the corner.
Talking about the wedding, a dramatic event took place when her former husband Jason Alexander crashed the wedding venue as he streamed the act live on Instagram. Alexander was seen speaking to the security and told them that Britney had invited him to the wedding. There was a violent struggle between him and the security personnel at the venue after which his phone froze. A trespassing complaint was filed to which the Ventura County Sheriffâs Department had responded.
