The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has left many cities locked down for many weeks and has forced the people to stay at home as a measure to spread the infection and avoid any community spread of the virus. Under such circumstances, those people who cannot work from home, are forced to spend time in front of their TV sets or the online streaming platforms. Watching too much of TV can lead to a few side effects many people end up watching shows till the early morning hours. Such conditions can lead to puffy eyes which can make you look unpleasant. Here are a few remedies to avoid puffy eyes.

1. Use iced coffee – while it is the perfect time to enjoy some cold or iced coffee, this ingredient also works as a great remedy to cure puffy eyes. You just need to freeze some black coffee in the ice trays. When you wake up in the morning, take out the coffee cubes and apply it on the eye lids and under the eyes. This helps to stimulate the circulation and also brightens the skin.

2. Essential oils – Since it is a lockdown time, you do not need to have any fancy oils. Even virgin coconut oil or olive oil can help. Apply any one of the above oils on the affected areas and it helps to lock in the moisture. It also helps to lighten the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

3. Green tea – Green tea is rich in anti-oxidants and helps to reduce any kind of inflammation and reduces the puffiness in the eyes. You just need to make some green tea and allow it too cool. Soak some cotton pads in it and apply it directly on the affected areas.

4. Aloe Vera – Aloe Vera is a thorn shrub that has some great beauty properties and helps to cure almost any skin condition. The gel that is derived from the leaves is rich in vitamins, enzymes and fatty acids. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Apply some fresh aloe gel to the affected areas and watch the puffiness vanish.
