Updated Trends: India Take On New Zealand In Tri-Series Opener
India, after drawing it test series against Sri Lanka, is now shifted to the One Day gear, and is all ready to take on New Zealand in the opener of the One Day Tri Series in Sri Lanka which is scheduled to commence from Tuesday this week. India will be feeling a bit disabled in their One Day squad, as the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and the Turbanator Harbhajan Singh will be missing out the ODI series.
In the Indian bowling side, Zaheer Khan will be sitting on the side lines due to his recent shoulder injury. Looking at this the team performance looks to become a worry now. The tremendously out of form, Ishant Sharma will be in the bowling attack along with Ashish Nehra. Nehra has been in form in his recent One Days, so one will expect that he will performing some good spelsl in the opener.
The Kiwi’s on the other hand are not in crisp form, they have filling their own grave holes on their side. Skipper Daniel Vettori is missing this the One Days, as he is back home welcoming his second child into his family. And this is not it, the batting duo, Jesse Ryder and Brenden McCullum are missing out in the team line up. Ross Taylor will be leading the New Zealanders, but it will surely take a lot by Taylor, to cater the inexperienced new team, to gain a victory over the sub-continental cricketing giants.
