Updated Trends: Israeli Blockade Of Gaza Has Turned The Region Into A Prison Camp: David Cameron
Prime Minister David Cameron, during his visit to Turkey spoke about the ongoing tension in Gaza, stating that the situation in Gaza at moment is of a giant Prison Camp.
The Prime Minster had made the same remarks earlier, but this time he spoke at a world stage in Turkey, a country whose relations with Israel have been disturbed considerably.
The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, spoke on the topic, condemning Israeli commandos who had shot the 9 peace keeping missionaries of Turkey on the flotilla they sunk a couple of months back. He added that the behaviour of the commandos were as the Somali pirates.
Cameron used the words as ‘prison camp’ and ‘open prison’, as Britain strictly condemned the blockade by Israel in Gaza. Erdogan added more to his criticism on Israel, that the attack on the flotilla was on foreign waters, it can compared to piracy attacks and nothing else.
