Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook says that email has become outdated and its craze would soon fade away. The reason he says that is because he feels the whole concept of email is very informal and slow.

The new Facebook service will integrate all web and text based communications, making it a much easier process for its users. Zuckerberg also said that Facebook users will have direct access to this new service and that they will be able to use @facebook.com.

At San Francisco event, the 26 year-old CEO said, “It’s true people are going to be able to have Facebook.com email addresses but this is not email. Email is one way people are going to use this system, but we don’t even think it’s going to be the primary way. The goal of this product is to make it that we can seamlessly integrate across all of these different products very easily.”

Facebook e-mail users will be able to send short replies from the inbox page itself. The new design will display thumbnails of recent photo attachments and will allow people to snap different open emails at a time.
