The Prime Minister of UK, David Cameron said, “It would make our citizens safer and more secure and marked a new chapter in a long history of defence co-operation.”
On the other hand, the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy said, “The deal, which includes plans for a joint army expeditionary force, was historic.”
Both the countries will have control on their own warheads. Technical methods will be used for warheads testing, to check their effectiveness and also their safety and the warheads testing would not include their explosion.
Two treaties have been signed among these two countries, one is for the military co-operation as mentioned before and the other one is for a 50 year deal on nuclear weapons.
