It is stuffed with vitamins and nutrients and here we will be discussing about the benefits of consuming coconut water for the skin.
1. Helps deal with acne – Coconut water contains microbial properties and helps to fight acne. Although acne scars fade away with time, but drinking this would help to get rid of them faster. It could be added to your regular skincare routine.
2. Reduces the signs of ageing – Consuming this water introduces anti-oxidants in the system and they also neutralize the effects of free radicals on the skin. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
3. Moisturizes the skin – This contains amino acids which is great for people who are fed up with a dry skin. People who suffer from skin burns can benefit from coconut water as it contains plenty of electrolytes.
Apart from drinking coconut water on an everyday basis, it can also be applied directly to the skin. You can mix it with any of your face mask or a DIY mask. For instance, you can mix a teaspoon of chickpea flour with coconut water and a pinch of turmeric. Apply the mixture on the skin for 15 to 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. It can also be a replacement for rose water.
Coconut oil is also beneficial for the hair and skin and works wonders as it has anti-ageing properties. Virgin coconut oil can be used for massaging your scalp. It can also be mixed with aloe vera gel that would make it healthier and smooth. Coconut oil can be applied to the skin to remove make up.
