The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic has affected a number of countries across the globe. While the time is uncertain, a number of governments have announced an uncertain lockdown till the situation comes under control. Under such circumstances, it is important to also focus on your mental health. There could be a number of things that one could be worried about and here are a ways you could keep a check on your mental health during the lockdown time.
1. Focus on your personal health as well – While you might be busy taking care of your family members during the pandemic, it is also important to take care of yourself. Address your feelings and try not to keep it to yourself. Make it a habit of sharing it with someone with whom you can confide with. Also do things that bring joy to you especially at times when you are feeling low.
2. Maintain a routine – Lockdown could be a time when you could tend to be lazy and have a vague schedule. But in order to cope with the future schedule, it is important to stick to your own schedule. Wake up early in the morning, exercise and drink plenty of water. Get ready like you di everyday and make yourself productive.
3. Get involved with family – IT is not always that you get so much time to spend with your family. Make sure that you spend some quality time with family and make the most of the quarantine time. Have fun and play games that you had always thought of playing when you would get to spend time.
4. Do what you always wanted to do – There could be a number of things like hobbies that you wanted to pursue but could not due to lack of time. The lockdown is the best opportunity you can indulge in your hobbies and enjoy what you like.
