Beetroot is a fibrous vegetable that is highly beneficial for the health. It helps people who are anemic and is a great vegetable for people who are trying to lose weight. Beetroot has a beautiful red tinge which is the source to a number of vitamins and minerals. Not many are aware that beetroot can also be included in the skincare regime. Here is how you can do it.
1. Can be used for skin brightening – Mix orange peel powder with the juice of beetroot to make a thick paste. Apply the paste evenly all over the face and leave it for 25 minutes. Wash it off with cold water. The beetroot gives your face a natural blush to the face with rosy cheeks.
2. Helps to reduce wrinkles and fine-lines – Mix the juice with honey and milk and apply it to the face at least twice a week. It can also be applied on alternate days to have the best results. The vegetable is packed with anti-oxidants, that helps to reduce the wrinkles and fine lines. It also prevents the skin from sagging and improves skin elasticity.
3. Helps with acne and pimple problems – Acne and pimples are the ones that take down the confidence of a person and makes them conscious. Take equal amounts of the root juice and tomato juice. Apply the mixture to the face and leave it for 15 minutes. It helps to get rid of the blemishes, blackheads and also controls acne breakout. Beetroot has anti-microbial and anti-septic properties that helps to control the oil production in the skin.
4. Removes tan – Mix beetroot juice with gram flour and milk and apply the mixture on the skin evenly. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes and wash it off with cold water. Beetroot has cooling and soothing properties and the gram flour helps to remove the tan on the face.
