A number of nations across the globe went in to a mandatory lockdown due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Due to the lockdown, a majority of the employees and people had to stay at home or had to work from home. The employees had to communicate through online platforms like Zoom or Skype while others communicated with their loved ones virtually. Be it an official meet or a casual meet with friends, it is surely important to look good and presentable before you go online.
1. Apply mild make-up – It is important to apply some make-up before you go online. Just make sure that you donât over-do it. Keep it subtle and mild with subtle colors and not bright or neon colors. You donât want the other person to be shocked.
2. Wear clothes as per occasion â If you are on an official meeting with your boss, make sure that you wear something that is as simple as a shirt and a trouser. Avoid t-shirts as it might make an impression that you are not serious of your job. If you are attending an online birthday party, then dress up as if you are actually attending a party. This way the spirit of the party will remain exciting.
3. Isolate yourself from house-hold commotion â If you have kids at home, make sure that they do not disrupt your online meeting or you can isolate yourself in a room where you are not disturbed. If you are constantly being disturbed, then it creates an impression that you are not serious about work.
4. Clear your background â Since you are at home, it is obvious that there might be a mess in your room. Before going online make sure that you clear up things at the background and make sure that your frame looks neat and tidy. You donât want your boss and colleagues to see the untidy mess in the house.
