3 Natural ways to get rid of stretch marks

Stretch marks on the skin are very common and appear on those who have either lost or gained some weight. These are common on women who have given birth to their babies. Stretch marks are harmless but they can look a little unattractive. While there are no approved treatments that vanish the stretch marks completely, but there are a few remedies that can be tried at home that can visibly reduce them. The key to reduce the visibility of the stretch marks is moisturization. Here are a few home remedies that can be done.

1. Aloe Vera and castor oil mixture – Aloe Vera is the best moisturizer for the skin and helps to produce collagen on the skin. Mix one spoon of castor oil and one spoon of aloe vera gel and massage the mixture on the affected areas and leave it overnight. Repeat this at least twice a week. Aloe vera is also used for getting rid of pigmentation and scars

2. Castor oil and coconut oil mixture – Make sure you have extra virgin coconut oil. Mix equal quantities of castor oil and coconut oil and heat it up a bit. Massage the oil on the stretch marks and leave it overnight. Repeat the process at least once a week. Coconut oil is an excellent moisturizer for the skin while castor oil contains Omega 9 fatty acids that heals the skin faster.

3. Sugar and castor oil mixture – Sugar makes a great scrub for the skin, but it has not been proved if they could effect on stretch marks. But scrubs are often used to get rid of stretch marks. You have to mix two teaspoons of sugar with one spoon of castor oil. Massage the scrub on the affected skin for five minutes and leave it on for 15 minutes. After washing it, with warm water, pat dry the area and apply a moisturizer. Scrubbing often makes the skin dry and the moisturizer will help to keep the skin moisturized.
