The Commonwealth Games 2010, has finally begun in New Delhi, India, during an extravagant opening ceremony, presented on 3rd October. During the opening ceremony, India clearly defined and showcased the country’s traditions, colors and cultures. It was a moment that every one wanted to capture in their memories forever. The 2010 CWG was officially opened jointly by the hands of Prince Charles and President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Patil.

 

 

India proved to the world on Sunday that they are today in to the group of countries who have the capacity and capability to host and conduct sports events like these. The opening ceremony was a spectacular sight to watch, and it certainly shocked the whole world, with the level of preparations and capability that India projected by presenting such an event.

Today, the opening ceremony is considered to be the one of the best inaugurals the world has ever seen and the largest that India has ever presented. Athletes and spectators at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium were standing in awe and excitement, after what India showcased to the whole world. Yes indeed the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2010 was a unique and spectacular events that world has ever seen, even after India had been under estimated for hosting the Commonwealth Games 2010.
