American talk show and radio host Andy Cohen announced on February 4, 2019 the birth of his child. The announcement was made in an Instagram post with a black and white picture in which Andy can be seen adorably holding his baby close to him.
Andy with the picture wrote, “WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs 2 ounces !! 20 inches !! Born at 6:35 pm, PT He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow.” The TV host had announced that he is going to be a father in December 2018.
Cohen had then said that it happened “after many years of careful deliberation, a fair amount of prayers and the benefit of science.” During his revelation in December, the host said that he has always been as transparent as possible about his life and added that he over shares and expects everyone around him to do the same.
Andy had then also shared, “Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something I’ve wanted in my heart for my entire life and while it has taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be my most rewarding chapter yet.” The host had later confirmed the gender of the baby while he was hosting the New Year’s Eve coverage with Anderson Cooper and said that it was a boy and he cannot wait to meet his son. Andy Cohen further revealed that he and his pup Wacha were preparing to bring the baby home. The radio host added that he has got all the gear and getting more and everyone around him is giving him wonderful advise and added that he has a lot of great women in his life.
