Updated Trends: Shahid Afridi States That He Could Have Pressed Charges Against Jonathan Trott
Pakistani Cricketer, Shahid Afridi has stated that he could have pressed charges against the English Cricketer, Jonathan Trott, for his behavior against Wahab Riaz, during which he even called him a match fixer. Afridi states that it was their cool that they did not file a charge against Trott.
On the other hand the ECB spokesperson stated, that the incident is quite regrettable, but fairly if we to see to it, its a minor incident. He also added that according to the match referee, the matter has been closed. Riaz and four of the other players have been questioned by the UK police, as they were charged of spot fixing.
After the incident took place, Afridi and his team decided not to take on field or appear for the toss, but it had to make sense from here on that they also wanted to let this series end properly. Match referee did a good job, he called in both the players, and Trott apologized for his behavior, and that was the close of the matter.
