Updated Trends: Rafael Nadal Beats Novak Djokovic To Earn His First US Open Title
Rafael Nadal created history for himself, after he beat Novak Djokovic, in the US Open finals, to earn the first US Open title in his Tennis career. Nadal beat Novak Djokovic 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2, as the match was very exciting to watch, where both players played to their level best with exquisite stroking of the ball.
The reason that he created history, is that there were questions surrounding him, whether he could win a title that was the only one which he was missing in his trophy collection. And on Monday he proved the world that he was worth it. It was only after the departure of Roger Federer from the US Open, which made Nadal’s path very clear indeed.
Comparing Nadal and Federer, Nadal is inching closer to the title records set by Federer, 16, and when he is asked about who is better, he says that the number of titles says he is better. Even Djokovic stated that, Nadal is the best ever player that he has played against on the court.
