Updated Trends: Ohio Tower Demolished, Falls In Wrong Direction And Causes Thousands To Lose Power

The Ohio Tower at the state power plant was recently demolished, but during the demolition the whole process went entirely wrong, as it fell in the wrong direction. The tower fell on two 12,000 volt power lines and a housing building, which had back-up generators in it, and as this happened, thousands of people in the city and the towns were out of power.

    Ohio Tower Demolition

Exactly 4000 homes in the Springfield area had lost power, as the 300 foot tall tower collapsed on the power lines. It was a sight to watch and a moment to capture, as the 300 foot tall structure fell in an utterly wrong direction, sending the people around berserk.

According to the demolition engineers, the tower was supposed to fall in the southeast direction but rather fell towards the east, where the power grid was located. As the people and the workers saw the tower tumbling in the wrong direction, they ran for their lives before any tragedy could have taken place. Reports state there was no one injured or hurt in any manner, but it was a serious accident that took place during the demolition, and it was good it snapped only the power grid, rather than falling on something and exploding it.
