In the latest news of US President Barack Obama’s visit to India, all the roads leading to the Taj Hotel have been closed for security purposes. The roads will be closed till Sunday evening, as he will be in India on his two days visit, which has been long expected.

The following streets are scheduled to be closed – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marg, Adam Street, Mahakavi Bhushan Marg, Ramchandani Marg, Bomanji Behram Marg, Henry Road, Steven Street, Battery Street, Navroji Fardunji Road, Mandlik Path and BEST Marg. These streets will be closed from 06.00 am on Saturday till 04.00 pm on Sunday. People who are residing in these areas, are provided vehicle passes, without which they cannot access or travel in these areas.

The security level has been beefed up to the highest level in Mumbai and all the places he is scheduled to visit. Obama’s trip to India is considered to be very essential, as there are various subjects and issues that are needed to be spoken and discussed about, and especially about the controlled defense trade.
