While some foods are healthy and improve the overall health, but there are many foods in the market that come with preservatives and sweeteners that make it taste better.   1. Energy/granola bars  – Now this might surprise many people as they are mostly used by people as a pre-workout snack or a quick snack that they consider as healthy. The fact is that they contain a lot of artificial sweeteners, trans fats and saturated fats  that will just suppress your hunger for some time.
  2. Fruit juices – Fruit juices have nothing but laden calories and are highly processed while making your weight loss more difficult. Even if it is prepared at home, it deprives you of the fiber and leaves with just a sugary solution. It is best to have the entire fruit or some home-made smoothies to have the maximum benefits.
  3. Packaged chips  – These also contain preservatives  and are high on sodium and additives that can harm the body in a number of ways and will also cause hindrance in the weight loss process.
  4. Bakes goods – Baked goods have processed flour with unhealthy fats, carbohydrates and hydrogenated oils that could harm the body in a number of ways  and could invite a number of diseases. You could rely on seasonal, natural and local produce to keep yourself healthy.
  5. Breakfast cereals – Many consider breakfast cereals are healthy but they are not as they undergo a strict manufacturing process and end up loosening majority of the nutrients.

It is best to have home-made meals , whole foods and seasonal fruits and vegetables.
