Hollywood star Tyrese Gibson has ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson to blame for the one-year-postponement in the release of the ninth film of The Fast and the Furious franchise from April 2019 to April 10, 2020.

While the Universal Pictures that is responsible for distributing the film has no particular reason to offer for the delay, Gibson has a lot to share about the rumored feud between the two. Reportedly, Johnson has been in a feud with Vin Diesel too since August last year when he shared a controversial post on Instagram saying many of his co-stars in The Fast and The Furious have been “candy asses” and rebuked them for their alleged unprofessional attitude.

Thursday, October 5, 2017, Gibson called Johnson a ‘clown’ on his Instagram account and gave insights into the long feud among the members of the Fast and Furious family (#FastFamily). This is what he captioned his post: “Diversity, love, multi ethnic worldwide multi generational, United Nations, One Race, Fast Family…… Until Dewayne showed up I guess this whole time he had a problem cause he wasn’t the ONLY ONE on the movie poster……….. I guess dreams do come true congratulations to @hhgarcia41 and @therock you guys are just amazing you really broke up the #FastFamily I tried to warn you guys… You thought I was hating…… I was simply fighting to keep the family together what makes us great is when you see us all TOGETHER we don’t fly solo….. #MyLastPost today….. I got 3 years of venting on this clown.”

The American rapper and actor also added how he rejected a spin-off film offer only for The Fast and Furious franchise. He wrote, “They offered but YOU didn’t have to agree with a solo #HobbsMovie,” he wrote. “#OriginalFastFamily we salute you and stand on your shoulders #VinDiesel #PaulWalker #RobCohen  #RomanTej were offered a spin off we TURNED IT DOWN!!!”

Presumably in agreement with Gibson’s angst against Johnson, Diesel too put out a post with the late Paul Walker and Gibson, captioning it “Brotherhood.”

The feud is reportedly related to Fast and Furious spin-off that is now slated for July 26, 2019 release starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw respectively.

Johnson is yet to comment on Gibson’s grievances and sarcastic jibes.
