3. Prevents heart ailments – Dried figs are beneficial for the health of your heart. They contain Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids which reduce the risk for heart disease.

4. Helps to reduce cholesterol levels – Figs can also be beneficial to reduce cholesterol levels as it contains pectin. The pectin also stimulates healthy bowel movements. When such a fibre moves from the digestive system it cleans up the excess clumps of cholesterol which can be harmful for the heart.
