Many people complain of feeling drowsy the whole day. Such a condition can many times be irritating and might also be a signal of other issues. There are certain things which can make a person drowsy.
1. Sedentary lifestyle – Lack of inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle can make a person feel drowsy throughout the day. Many people suffer from such a condition due to their sedentary jobs, which does not involve any activity. Constantly working at the desk can lead to drowsiness as one does not blink much while being inactive than being active, so it’s important to take small breaks and keep yourself motivated.
2. Light – The body needs some natural light to make one feel energetic. Lack of light can lead to low levels of vitamin D and induces sleep and reduces the energy levels. This is also one of the reasons why people feel more depressed during cold and dark seasons.
3. Lack of water – Lack of water in the body or dehydration can lead to drowsiness. When one feels thirsty , the person is already dehydrated. It is recommended to drink at least eight glasses of water everyday.
4. Over Eating – When a person overeats or consumes certain food items like rice, potatoes or bread they might lead to drowsiness as the blood sugar levels rise rapidly and come down suddenly.
