The Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Queen Elizabeth II came to a conclusion on June 5, 2022. One of the concluding events was the ride of the Queen on the historical glided carriage. Hundreds had gathered to catch a glimpse of the monarch but the person who greeted the crowd was actually a hologram of the Queen inside the carriage. The Queen had skipped the Pageant parade due to health issues.

The hologram showed the Queen smiling and waving her hand to the public present at the event as the carriage passed by the crowd. The younger self of the Queen was projected on the Window of the Golden State Coach that was also used during her coronation ceremony held in 1953. The iconic carriage is drawn by eight horses and was featured at the public parade after it remained absent from the public view since 20 years. The Pageant saw a participation of nearly 5000 people and marked one of the last festivities of the four-day long celebrations to mark the longest-reigning monarch on the throne.

The Platinum Jubilee celebrations started off on June 2, 2022 when she appeared on the balcony of the Buckingham Palace and waved to the crowd as she witnessed the Trooping the Color parade. This time not all the family members were present at the balcony. Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children were not allowed to be at the Balcony appearance as they had given up as senior members of the royal family officially in 2020.

However, the couple did attend the church service on June 3, 2022 with the rest of the members of the royal family. After the Trooping the Color event held on June 2, 2022, the 96 year old monarch had met Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter Lilibet Diana for the first time since her birth. Lilibet was born in June 2021 in California to Harry and Meghan who are already parents to son Archie.
