Vaccination drive is rampant across the globe and a number of businesses are also encouraging and banking on the cause. A while back doughnut giant Krispy Kreme had announced that it would be giving out free doughnut for people who get vaccinated. And now the vaccinated people are making the most of the free doughnuts. The special promotion was announced for Americans who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The person has to just prove that he/she has been vaccinated and they would get a free doughnut per day for the rest of the year.
The company has taken the initiative to increase the awareness among the people who continue to doubt the COVID-19 vaccine. Krispy Kreme says that it is expecting the number to keep increasing. Dave Skena, the Chief Marketing officer at the company said that it is on its way to give away millions of free doughnuts when more people get vaccinated. Who is eligible for a free doughnut? The customer has to just show a vaccination record card.
Any person who gets a Moderna, Pfizer or a Johnson & Johnson vaccine is eligible for a free doughnut. However, this is not the first company to encourage people by giving away free stuff for Americans who get vaccinated. Junior’s Cheesecake is giving away a free cheesecake, Budweiser is giving away a free beer while Nathan’s Hot Dog is giving away free hot dogs for vaccinated people. Not just the shops, but even the employees are providing cash incentives and time off to get vaccinated. Nearly 50 percent of the people in America have already been vaccinated.
COVID-19 has claimed a number of lives in the US and in countries across the globe and such measures by businesses prove to be a driving factor to encourage people to get themselves vaccinated. Getting the COVID-19 jab is an important step towards bringing an end to the deadly pandemic.
