The holiday time is here and is the perfect time when grocery and convenience stores face their busiest times. Walmart has introduce a new service right in time for the holiday season which is in par with the ongoing situation of the vulnerability of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The retail giant has joined hands with logistics giant FedEx and has launched the service Carrier Pickup by FedEx. The service will allow the customers to return the items that have been purchased online. This can be done right from the comfort of their homes.

The pandemic has forced a number of people to stay at home and the latest service by Walmart will increase the convenience of the customers so they could practice social distancing and would help to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. So the shoppers will now be able to return the purchased items without the need of leaving their homes and will also not have to stand in long queues and crowds.

The customer will have to raise a request online by scheduling a return and selecting the items that need to be returned from the website or app of Walmart. The app or website will then give them options for return, pick up and an appointment date. The customers will have to just pack up the items that has to be returned, fix the provided label and then wait for a pick up. But Walmart is not the first retailer to offer such a service to its customers. Rival Target has also got a similar service that takes back the items with the help of Estes Forwarding Worldwide or FedExFreight.

But here to schedule a return, the customers have to contact Target.com Guest Services. The Carrier Pickup by FedEx by Walmart is a service that is free and will also continue beyond the holidays. The service is going to be great for the elderly and people who are unable to step out due to the pandemic.
