Everyone likes to color their hair. It not just gives them a good make-over, but also gives them confidence. However hair coloring can be expensive and it also tends to get faded soon. When it bleeds out sooner than it should, it can be heart breaking for the money that you have spent on it. Colored hair needs special treatment and many people tend to make mistakes while taking care of their colored hair. Here are a few reasons why your hair color might be fading away.
1. Using the wrong shampoo and conditioner – It is important to use the right shampoo and conditioner while washing your hair. You can find special shampoos which are meant for the colored hair. They are mild and helps to maintain the hair color for a longer time. Make sure you are treating your hair with the right shampoo.
2. Washing hair too often – When you have colored hair, it is recommended to wash your hair less frequently. This is one of the major reasons, the hair color gets faded at a faster pace. You can also try dry shampoo so you can avoid washing your hair too often.
3. Going in the sun too often – Sun rays have harmful ultra violet rays, that tend to damage the hair and is also a big ‘no no’ for the colored hair. If you cannot avoid going in the sun then make sure you are protecting it. Cover them with a hat and a light colored scarf which can protect the hair from fading away.
4. Hair is not hydrated properly – Colored hair needs good hydration and has to be moisturized. Treat your colored hair with a good hair mask or indulge in a pampering hair spa. Massage your hair with a good hair mask for at least half an hour and repeat this process at least once in a week.
