Search engine giant Google made its debut at the worldâs biggest tech show CES in 2018. It is just a year old at the CES, but the search engine is now determined to be the biggest at the tech show at the Las Vegas Convention Centre. Google has a huge 18,000 square foot booth at the tech show and will include a ride that is similar to Disneyâs âItâs a small worldâ. The special characteristic of the ride is that it will showcase different ways of using Google Assistant.
A spokesperson from Google said, “By hopping aboard the ride, attendees experience how the Assistant can be helpful in the face of life’s twists and turns”. The search engine has also claimed that there are about 100 million devices that run on Google Assistant. This will be the second official presence of Google at the CES 2019 and it is surely going to make it big at the trade event. Google Assistant has other competitors in the market including Amazon Alexa and Appleâs Siri.
The official opening of the CES will be held on January 8, 2019 and Google has already announced that there are now 100 million devices running on Google Assistant. The search engine had dropped a hint about the ride in a Tweet earlier on January 8, 2019, however, the ride was reported earlier on January 7, 2019 by Marketwatch. In 2018, Google had set up a playground for the attendees of CES and was equipped by a blue swirly slide and a giant gumball machine that gave away prices like the Google Home devices and Nest security cameras.
The opening day had faced a rainstorm and the huge Google booth was flooded and had to be bailed out before the reopening. This yearâs booth will be three times larger than that was set up in 2018. Reports say that the ride will be protected by a roof in case the weather turns bad.
