The New Zealand earthquake 2010, has indeed caused widespread problems on the islands, and the government has extended the state of emergency till Wednesday. An earthquake of a magnitude of 7.1 had hit the South Island of New Zealand, near the city of Christchurch. There has been credible damage all over the region due to the earthquake and its intensity.
