People across the globe are getting themselves vaccinated to remain immune from the COVID-19 virus. A number of nations are already facing the second wave of the virus which has shown a devastating effect. While experts have also warned about a third and a more deadly wave, it is important for people to get vaccinated as soon as possible. However, vaccinations also come with a few side effects post administration. But these are nothing to worry about as they behave like another other regular vaccines available. Here are some of the side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine and ways to deal with it.

1. Soreness on the vaccination site – This is a common side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine and is mostly a mild pain. The person might not feel the pain on the same day but might experience it on the following day. Nothing much has to be done about it. One can take a paracetemol tablet to deal with the pain or place an ice pack on the area for some relief.

2. Fever post vaccination – This is another common side effect of the vaccine. But it is not essential that all might have a fever. Some people who might experience it could get a mild fever. This happens as the body starts to deal with the sudden rise of the anti-bodies of the vaccine and it takes some time to get adjusted. A paracetemol tablet can be taken as per need to deal with the fever.

3. Weakness post vaccination –Some people might experience fatigue or weakness which is normal and nothing to be worried about. Under such circumstances, it is advised to take ample water and avoid any strenuous exercises for a couple of days.
Tip – The above symptoms will vanish in a couple of days, but it is advised to have a positive mind and eat a balanced diet. Try to reduce working hours and also avoid excess intake of coffee or tea. It is also important to take ample rest and meditate.
