Iran Plane Crash, Reports Show 77 Passengers Killed

Updated Trends: Aviation tragedy struck Iran, when a plane crash took place in the city of Orumiyeh, Iran, killing almost 77 passengers who were on board. The Boeing 727 belonging to IranAir broke into pieces as it was coming down in the city of Orumiyeh, there were more than 100 people on the flight. This one of the biggest aviation tragedies that has taken place in Iran since years.

26 People are said to be injured and they are in critical condition, the authorities have now sent to them to hospitals where they are receiving proper treatment. The airport officials state that there was no explosion during the crash, rather the plane just disintegrated before making a touch down.

Bad weather condition had forced the plane to be an hour behind its scheduled timing, and it was called back because of the unprevailing conditions. What is making matters worse for the rescue officials is the heavy snow that was gathered around the wreckage. There have been number of aerial accidents that have taken place in Iran since some few years, but this one has been accounted to be a major tragedy.
