The American government has dispatched the Aircraft Carrier USS George Washington to the Yellow Sea, to join a four day military exercise along with South Korea. The dispatch has come only few days after North Korea attacked South Korea, so is there a message here for the North Koreans. The US has also asked North Korea to cease the shelling which it started on Tuesday, which has raised a lot of provocations internationally.

The forces and people of South Korea know that the Americans have always stood on their side and may be this time, this is an indication of its support to the country. Bonnie Glaser a China expert stated “First and foremost, beefing up our military presence and holding these joint exercises … is intended to signal to our allies that we stand behind them,”.

This message also goes to China, as it has been years since the Bush and the Obama administration have been asking the Chinese governments to stop supporting the North Koreans, as they have been misbehaving with the south consistently through the decades.
