Updated Trends: Treasure Island Google Doodle for Robert Stevenson’s birthday
The giant search engine, Google has been paying tributes to all those who deserve it, by dedicating a new doodle on every occasion. Today, you can find a new Google Doodle based on the Treasure Island theme, a novel written by Robert Louis Stevenson. The world today, November 13, 2010 is celebrating the 160th birthday of the writer.
Born in the year 1850 in one of the most beautiful places of the world, Edinburgh, Scotland, Stevenson chose to write maximum on adventure and travel. The Treasure Island is one of the best examples of his fondness for adventure.
Stevenson did not die a natural death. While in Samoa, where he was living for four years, he suddenly collapsed and embraced his death. He was just 44 years old then.
The other very famous works which were internationally recognized of the writer include ‘Kidnapped’ and the ‘Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
