Updated Trends: Revolutionary Guard Base Blast Kills 18 In Iran
Around 18 people were killed and 14 were injured, after a blast took place at the Revolutionary Guard base in Iran. The Iran blasts took place on Tuesday, in the north-western Lorestan province. The authorities present near the blast have taken the injured to Khoramabad, which 500 kms away from Tehran.
The Revolutionary Guard system was set up in the year 1979 to fight against the Islamic system existing in the country. No group has taken the initiative of this blast, and there are numerous doubts over existing groups in the northern region of Iran.
It has been reported that this is the largest attack that has taken place on the Revolutionary Guard since its existence. The Revolutionary Guards have developed through time, since their formation, and today they are a major political, military and economic force in Iran. In the north west of Iran, there have been several Khurdish militant attacks in past recent months.
