Pope Benedict XVI on his visit to Britain has expressed his deep sorrow, for the abused who have suffered the unthinkable crime by the church’s clergymen. The apology towards the abused, was the strongest presented by the Pope during his visit to the UK. He had apologized to the people at a grand mass at the Westminster Cathedral on the third of his visit.

The Pope as scheduled met a number of top politicians of the country, which even include the Prime Minister David Cameron, his deputy Nick Clegg and acting Labour leader Harriet Harman. After the mass he is set to meet thousands of young catholics who were gathered at the cathedral.

The Pope spoke at the mass stating that “I think of the immense suffering caused by the abuse of children, especially within the Church and by her ministers.” In addition to that he also said that he is also sorrowful for the ones who have been abused by the Priests and that he prays that the grace of Jesus Christ should give them the strength, healing and peace in their lives.
