Updated Trends: President Barack Obama Tells Pastor Terry Jones To Call Off Burn A Koran Day
Now its is President Barack Obama who has asked Dove World Outreach Center Pastor, Rev. Terry Jones to call of the Koran Burning Day. The Florida based church will be observing ‘Burn A Koran Day’ on the 11th September this year, which has been shrouded in political and religious controversy.
The President has strictly argued against the event that will be taking place at the church in Gainesville, Florida. He feels that this will certainly pull an outrage in the Islamic countries and not to mention the political criticism that this will provoke.
In addition to this, the event can also be dangerous for the troops that are placed in Afghanistan and Iraq. And this will also become a platform for Islamic extremists to be recruited for Al Qaeda. In short this event will be an invitation to terrorist activities.
