If there is one makeup mogul who can give us the makeup kit of our dreams, it has to be self-styled artist and Jeffree Star Cosmetics owner, Jeffree Star! Time and time again, he is proving that he is a diva god who knows how to make it werk. Through his genius makeup tutorials that are equal parts entertaining and educative, as well as his presence on social media – Facebook, Instagram and SnapChat, this guy is just taking beauty places no one would have dreamed of even a year ago, before his growing empire began.
If you are new to the scene, you need to first take a whirl through his line, which includes long-lasting Velour Liquid Lipsticks – he has every shade of the gay rainbow, from black to white to yellow to pink this and pink that, to nude and even a forest green for Christmas. He also just recently introduced a foxy line of stick lipsticks called Lip Ammunition, and as you can tell, the packaging is bullet shaped. ALL beauty products from Jeffree Star Cosmetics are of course, vegan and cruelty-free and bomb-ass to boot.
For a while now, Jeffree has been selling skin frost highlighters that come in a big pink round compact container. The only shade so far was Ice Cold – shiny white with deep pigmentation that could be added to accentuate the cheekbones and temples on one’s face. If you watch Jeffree’s YouTube tutorials, you can see exactly how far this product can take you because creativity has no limits!
But this time around, just in time for Halloween, Jeffree Star outdid himself and surprise dropped Onyx Ice – a black highlighter! Hot damn! You can say he is literally the trailblazer this time round, because no other makeup company even thought of this yet. Sure, you have the rainbow highlighter and highlighter this, highlighter that. But c’mon, black?! I mean, yes sir! People are already freaking out over it, so much so that the product sold out, but will be restocked soon, because Jeffree is good to us all.
So, what can you do with the highlighter? As the makeup superstar says, you can use it to highlight your cheekbones, or you can even apply it around the eyes for a super-easy smoky effect. And with Halloween just around the effin’ corner, imagine putting together the white and black highlighters and going all out with some zombie shine makeup madness! Truly magical.
