She was formerly known as an underage stripper who “got famous” by dating rapper Kanye West (this was before his crazy Twitter rants and solo cheerleading chants for the Kardashians). Then she got with another rapper, Wiz Khalifa and became his baby mama. After their very public separation, the only time the “lemon head” model attracted media attention was for her verbal spats with again, the Kardashians and her entanglement in their never-ending family-dating-dumping-family saga with her best friend, Blac Chyna. Between bringing up beautiful baby Bash and constant appearances at strip clubs and twerking, it looks like the self-proclaimed “Muva” has bagged herself a deal of all deals: a talk show!

If anyone needs a reminder, Amber held a Slut Walk earlier in the year, where she openly spoke up about the demeaning way in which former flames Kanye and Wiz had spoken about her and how she had repeatedly been labeled a “slut” since a young age, when she didn’t even know what it meant. She received a lot of support for feminism that managed to catch the eye of famed psychologist, Dr. Phil, who approached her for a talk show of all talk shows. Amber Rose states: “I’ve been offered a million reality shows by every network you can imagine, but I just waited for something that fit perfectly, and that was this talk show with Dr. Phil. It’s like half Conan O’Brien, half a female version of Howard Stern. I do a monologue and all that…We’ll also have a segment on celebrity gossip. I’ll go on to the street and talk to people, too.”

“I don’t mind taking the punches and the criticism – I do it for other women. People think I go about it in a very controversial way, but life is controversial…If you look at my Instagram bio, it says I’m a certified slut. If I’m a slut for dating and being single, fine, I’ll be that. I’m going to embrace that because I’m not going to let anyone hurt me, and I’m not going to let you hurt anybody else.”

She continued: “If you know me, you know I’m very sex positive. We have a full segment of sex and relationship questions that are very extreme…It’s a no-judgment zone. I’m not Wendy Williams. I’m not disconnected from this industry. I live it, so I’m never going to come from a bad place. That’s not what my show is about.”

The Amber Rose Show premiers on July 8 at 11pm on VH1. Check out the promo video on her official Facebook page.
