Updated Trends: Rapper Wyclef Jean Goes Into Hiding After Receiving Death Threat On Presidency Race
Rapper Wyclef Jean who has taken a really strong step to run for the Presidency in the country of Haiti, has now gone ‘into hiding’ as he has reportedly received death threats. He will be awaiting an official announcement by the officials whether he will be eligible to run for the post of the President.
The Rapper, who was a member of the Fugees group, has stated that he is now located in a secret place in Haiti, as he received a death threat to leave the country. He has not stated about who has been giving him these threats.
The electoral officials are now assessing his qualifications to run for the President’s post. There has been reports that the officials have put forth some certain requirements for the post, which can disqualify Jean. Some unnamed candidates have already been chosen but no one knows who has been shortlisted.
The electoral officials have some certain requirements in favor of the country, as it has been hit and devastated by a massive earthquake at the beginning of the year 2010. Announcements of the final candidates will be disclosed on Friday.
