The British Airways authorities have started a probe into the Hong Kong bound airliner, that had made an announcement to the passengers that the airliner would be making an emergency landing on water. The plane was a Boeing 747, and was on its way to Hong Kong.

The officials have stated that the emergency button can be activated in a number of ways but is not that easy to accessed by the pilots in the cockpit. The flight crew later announced that the emergency alarm was made by an error, and that the flight will be moving on its normal course.

London’s British Airways, has said that it will be investigating in to the matter and has also apologized the passengers on the flight, for giving them unnecessary stress. An incident like this if could have taken place in reality, it would have resulted in a major airline disaster for UK.
