Updated Trends: Bharat Bandh Called By Maoist For 48 Hours From 7 July
Bandh has caught fancy these days. It seems to be the easiest way to make people sit and listens.
After the July 5 Bandh, which brought India to standstill? Now its Maoist turn. The Bandh by the maoist is not against the hike in basic commodities, it is to revenge the killing of senior Maoist leader by the police.
They have declared ‘Bhart Bandh’ for 48 hours from 7 July to protest against the killing of their politburo Cherukuri Rajkumar aka Azad at Adilabad in Andhra Pradesh.
The top Maoist leader, Kishenji claimed that Cherukuri Rajkuma was arrested from Nagpur along with another Maoist Sukdeb and was taken to Adilabad. They both were shot dead by the police at the secluded place.
Maosit said that the railways, milk, ambulance and fire services are excluded from the shutdown.
But the Railway protection force is on red alert. They are preparing themselves to face the situation.
West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa and Chhattisgarh – the naxal affected areas- are on high alert.
Speaking on the home ministers decision to use Indian Air Force to tackle the Maoist nuisances, Kishenji requested the IAF to not to use your guns on the poor.
