American actress and singer Jennifer Lopez started off her “Its My Party: The Live Celebration” tour to mark her upcoming 50th birthday, at the Forum in Los Angeles on June 7, 2019. The singer was joined by someone very special and dear to Lopez’s heart, her 11 year old daughter Emme. The mother and daughter duo sang a duet on stage and Emme proved that she too has those skills.
The 50 year old singer brought her daughter on the stage for the song ‘limitless’ from her movie ‘Second Act’ and the 11 year old managed the vocals like a pro as the two looked great in matching red gowns. Jennifer could not contain her pride as she shared a video of them singing on social media and wrote, “I can’t take it! #ProudMama.” The vocal abilities of Emme do not come as a surprise.
It was in May, 2019 when Jennifer shared a video of her daughter singing at the piano to Alicia Keys “If I Ain’t Got You”, and she sounded beautiful. Emme’s father and singer Marc Anthony in a recent interview with a leading daily had shared that he is behind her passion for music if its something she wants to pursue. Marc added, “Music was a big part of my life growing up and I hope it does the same for [Emme] as it has done for me. And if that is what she wants to do … well, she should do it because she likes it, not because she has to. Not for fame, or popularity, or for likes.”
Anthony also shared that he had asked his daughter why do you sing and she said because she feels good and that was the best answer he could get. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony got divorced in June 2014 and Lopez had retained the primary physical custody of her twins, a daughter and a son.
