Updated Trends: English actor Tom Hardy will star as Bane in Christopher Nolan’s Batman movie, Dark Knight Rises, which is scheduled to released in 2012. Tom has previously worked with Nolan in the film Inception, where he starred along with Leonardo Di Caprio and not to mention the movie did quite well at the box office.
The Dark Knight Rises, is the third Batman instalment by Christopher Nolan, and he has chosen Hardy to play the role of Bane, a super strong and powerful enemy of Batman. Christian Bale retains the role of Batman, and this time the film is going to be shot in 3D.
It has been seen that actors and actresses tend to lose or gain weight for their particular role in the film, but Tom who is a small man, will be seen as a massive protagonist in the movie. When asked about his role in the film, his smile was as long as the China Wall, he said that he was quite excited and happy to play the role of Bane in Nolan’s Batman.
