Updated Trends: Halloween 2010 Is On 31st October – Everyone Is Getting Ready To Celebrate The Holiday With Great Enthusiasm
Halloween is here and it will be celebrated on the 31st of October this year. Halloween is considered to be a holiday in a number of countries where it is celebrated. The spooky holiday usually comes a day before the catholic feast of All Saints Day. It is that time of the year when the atmosphere in the neighborhoods in many countries turns spooky, not naturally but by the people who celebrate this day.
The roots of Halloween date back centuries, into the Roman era, when the people of that time celebrated this feast when it was called the feast of Parentalia. It is more of a Celtic origin, as many people who celebrated it covered their heads with a white mask, and danced around a bonfire, depicting the images of a ghost.
Halloween is symbolized with Jack-O-Lanterns and candles, which are made out of turnips and even Halloween spiders, which are a type of soft toy that cane be found hanging on peoples houses. Children specifically on this day, move around in groups, dressed as demons, ghosts and other horrifying creatures. They go door to door and trick or treat people. Adults can be seen dressing up in wicked, evil or seductive costumes, in the spirit of the festival.
Today, Halloween is celebrated in most of the countries in the world, but we can mainly see them celebrated in Ireland, US. Canada, and most of the Europe.
