Updated Trends: India vs New Zealand – First Match Of Tri Series Begins Today In Sri Lanka
Today, two Cricketing giants will commence the first match of the ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka. India vs New Zealand will be the first match played at the Dambulla stadium in Sri Lanka. The match is scheduled to start at 14.30 pm local time, or 09.00 am GMT.
Both the teams are ready to face each other but will be missing some key players from their respective squads. Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir will not be playing today from India’s side.
The same sort of situation has risen in Kiwi’s side too. Their captain, Daniel Vettori will be missing the match, as he is back home with his family welcoming his second child. Jesse Ryder and Brenden McCullum, the feared batting duo, will be missing the game today as they have been told to rest by New Zealand.
