The 21st century is full of people vulnerable to panic attacks owing to severe stress, work pressure and many other reasons. Some symptoms of panic attacks include loss of breath, chest pain, fear and numbness. Panic attacks are not a healthy way of dealing with stress and can be harmful for the mind and body.
Here are a few ways by which one can deal with panic attacks.
1. Go for supplements – Usually, the deficiency of magnesium in the body leads to panic attacks. There are plenty of magnesium supplements available in the market which are safe and do not have any side effects. Take the advice of your doctor who can prescribe you supplements according to your condition.
2. Herbs – A few herbs like Chamomile are known to significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety. These can be effective in case of mild anxiety, but cannot be of any help in case of severe panic attacks.
3. Avoid foods that trigger panic attacks – There are certain foods that can trigger panic attacks. For instance, coffee can act as a stress causing food for many and should thus be avoided.
4. Practice Yoga – Yoga is the best relaxing technique that one must practice on a daily basis. Yoga not just aids in flexing the body, but also relaxes the mind and keeps you away from stress and anxiety.
