What is skin tan?
Skin tanning causes the skin to darken aka tan due to extreme and constant exposure to the sun’s UV rays (Ultra Violent). Artificial tanning methods like tanning parlors have caught up as a fad in the recent past, however, excessive skin tan can be dangerous and must be cured immediately.
Here are a few ways by which you can get rid of skin tan in a natural way.
1. Papaya and honey pack – Prepare a pulp of papaya and mix it with a few teaspoons of honey. This mixture can be applied to the face, hands and legs and other parts of the body which are tanned. Leave it for about 25 to 30 minutes and then, wash it off with cold water. Papaya contains enzymes which helps to whiten and exfoliate the skin.
2. Lemon and tomatoes – Mix a cup of tomato puree with lemon juice and yogurt, apply the mixture onto your face and let it rest for a minimum of 30 minutes, wash off with cold water after. Not only does this mixture remove tan, but also gets rid of dark spots on the skin.
3. Aloe vera with red lentil – Prepare a mixture of red lentil paste with fresh aloe vera gel and tomato paste. Red lentil helps to clear off severe tanning, while tomatoes help the skin to rejuvenate.
4. Potatoes and lemon juice – Extract the juice of one medium sized potato and mix it with lemon juice. Apply the pack on facial skin and other affected areas, allow it to dry for 30 to 40 minutes and wash off with cold water thereafter.
