Updated Trends: India’s Sikkim Manipal University Introduces Distance Learning MBA In Banking And Finance
Sikkim Manipal University, India, has taken the initiative in providing quality education, to cope up with the increasing needs of the corporate world. The University has introduced a new course, MBA in Banking and Finance, which would be provided to students who have at least three years of experience in the banking sector.
The course is structured in such a way that it would be creating managers and corporate officials out of the students and employees who are joining it. The course is divided into 4 semesters, and it has aimed in training employees who already in the banking sector meet up with the drastic changes that the banking and finance is undergoing.
The Indian banking sector has been growing consistently at the rate of 7% per annum, so the needs of better manpower is increasing simultaneously. By the year 2014 there would be a managerial deficit in the banking sector by 0.7 million people. The MBA course provided by the University, trains and educates the students to fill this managerial gap and make them better managers for the future.
