Updated Trends: Michaela McAreavey’s funeral has been attended by thousands of people, as the Irish teacher who was murdered, is on her final trip to her grave. Michaela was found murdered in Mauritius when she was spending her honeymoon. The funeral mass is taking place at the St Malachy’s Church in Ballymacilroy, Co Tyrone, where President Mary McAleese and Cardinal Sean Brady are attending it.
What is really sad about this funeral is, three weeks ago this is the same place where the couple had got married, her life was very unfortunate. The 27 year old is the daughter of Tyrone GAA manager Mickey Harte. All the GAA club members and the family are gathered at the church, it is a really sad moment for them to attend a funeral of such a young joyous girl.
The Funeral mass has been conducted by Bishop of Dromore John McAreavey. During the funeral she also received a rare guard of honour, which makes it quite heartfelt. Tears come down to see her lying in the coffin, where she is wearing the same wedding dress which wore three weeks ago, what else can be said about her death. We just wish Michaela ‘Rest In Peace’.
