Updated Trends: Diego Maradona Eyes Coach Job For Chelsea Or Arsenal, At Barclays Premier League
Former Argentina football coach, Diego Maradona, is eying an opportunity to coach English football club teams like Chelsea and Arsenal. For the English men, Diego may be the arch enemy, but for Diego, all that he wants for his 50th birthday is a job at Barclays Premier League.
The former ‘Hand Of God’ fame star, has stated that he was indeed having talks with Kevin Keegan – in the context of having an opportunity to work for some really good teams in the league. He is also very eager to get back to his coaching job, after his Argentine team was ousted from the South Africa World Cup this year.
Prior to his talks, he was linked to Aston Villa FC, but later Gerard Houllier replaced Martin O’Neill to run the team. But Maradona has said that he has never been contacted for the Aston Villa job, but he would be really interested in it.
He spoke to Sky Sports the other day, talking about the English teams “Of course I would be interested, it has very good teams at an exceptional level and very good players.” He also added saying that “I was looking at Arsenal and Chelsea, and talking to Kevin Keegan.”
