Updated Trends: Joe Miller Security Guard Handcuff Reporter Of The ‘Alaskan Dispatch’
During an event of Senate Joe Miller in Anchorage, his private Security Guard had to handcuff and take a reporter from the Alaskan Dispatch aside. It was reported that the reporter named Tony Hopfinger, asked some inappropriate questions to the senate in public. Tony asked Senate Miller, whether he ever was in trouble of politicking during his time at Fairbanks North Star Borough in 2008.
Reports state that when the guards felt that the situation was getting out of hand and the reporter was asking inappropriate questions, they began to force him behind, and stopped him from asking the Senate any more questions. But the guards had to use force, push him against the wall and handcuff him.
The Campaign of Miller issued a statement in context of William Fulton, and the Guard who handcuffed the reporter, stating – “The Dispatch reporter repeatedly pushed a camera into the face of Mr. Miller. He continued to aggressively pursue him. I told the reporter several times that he needed to stop and that he was trespassing. He ignored me. He then proceeded to stalk Mr. Miller and even shoved an individual into a locker. Based upon this trespass and his assault, we detained him and escorted him from the premises.”
Later, Hopfinger did accept that he had pushed the guard during the event, after the guard said so. The local police have said that the private security guards can make arrests pertaining to the situation, just like any other citizen arrest in the country.
